Clarence D. Rinehimer, 85, of Belleville, IL, born August 25, 1930, in Slocom Township, PA, died Thursday, August 27, 2015, at The Atrium, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Rinehimer was the owner and operator of a a Mobile Service Station for 17 years and prior to that, a Phillips 66 Service Station for 10 years.  He retired as the owner and operator of Clarence Rinehimer Over the Road Trucking.  He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.  Clarence was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 370, Belleville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Betty, nee Mueth, Rinehimer, whom he married on July 3, 1954, and who died on January 8, 1993; a son, Larry Rinehimer; his parents, John and Margaret, nee Heller, Rinehimer; and a sister, Florence Mowery.

Surviving are three children, Beverly Glendon of Normal, IL,
Bruce Rinehimer of O’Fallon, IL,
and Richard Rinehimer of Bloomington, IL;
six grandchildren;
one great-granddaughter;
and three sisters, Marjorie Yazhimowski,
Myrtle Gurkovich,
and Shirley Rymon.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015, at George Renner and sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2015, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. A Catholic War Veteran’s ritual will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2015, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Kenneth York, Msgr. David Darin, and Fr. Eugene Neff concelebrating.  Burial with military honors will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, IL.

Having just learned the sad news,Please accept my deepest sympathy at the passing of your dad/grandpa/great-grandpa. He truly lived a full life. I was the flower girl in Betty and Clarence’s wedding back in 1954 when I was only 3 years old. He really fit into the family nicely .. a very good man. Be sure to cherish the good memories.
