A lifelong farmer in the Freeburg area, Clarence was a member of the St. Clair County Farm Bureau and the Illinois Farm Bureau. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, the St. Joseph Men’s Club, and a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 13197. Clarence was a member of Mascoutah Moose Lodge 815, the Smithton Turner Society, the Broad Hollow Grange, and the Freeburg Sportsman’s Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Angela T., nee Schilling, Wiskamp, whom he married on November 6, 1947, and who died on September 14, 2000; his parents, Casper and Alvina, nee Groh, Wiskamp; three brothers, Harry, Herbert and Roy Wiskamp; three sisters, Ruth Lippert, Ethel Herzog, and Martha Schwarz; three young siblings in infancy; two sons-in-law, James Dressler and Linus Wachtel; a great-grandchild, Dustin Valleroy; and his dear friend, Lucille M. Recker.
Surviving are three sons and four daughters, Dorothy Wachtel of Smithton, IL,
David (Clare) Wiskamp,
Darlene (Melvin Jr.) Beisiegel,
and Daniel (Sharon) Wiskamp, all of Freeburg, IL,
Debra (Charles) Buss of St. Libory, IL,
Donna (Larry) Johnson of Wentzville, MO,
and Dean (Vanessa) Wiskamp of Freeburg, IL;
28 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law;
nieces and nephews;
and many dear friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 3to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015, and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, with Fr. Mark Reyling officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
