Cooper Ryan Smallwood, born February 28, 2022, in Maryville, IL, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

During his short life, Cooper was loved so much by his family.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Walter and Angeline Schaefer and Linda Webster.

He is survived by his parents, Ryan and Taylor, nee Webster, Smallwood; his grandparents, Christopher and Angela Smallwood, and Letha and Paul Carlson; two aunts, Brittney (James) Murray and Rachel (Ryan) Phillips; great-grandparents, Janet and Larry Shelton and Edgar and Judith Smallwood; three cousins, Gavin, Lynkin, and Bria; and many other loving family members.

Tay and Ryan, We love you both so much. You are wonderful parents and Cooper was loved deeply. We know he’s in heaven with Lulu and many other loved ones. We will continue to pray for you for peace and comfort.

Cooper, I wish we could have met in person; so you know how much I love you little cousin. I will let you know my love through prayers. You are a special part of our family that we will all love forever. Taylor and Ryan, you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. You both are WONDERFUL parents. I pray the pain gets easier. Cooper can feel your love up in Heaven. I know my dad, his great-grandparents, and Aunt Lisa are all showing him lots of love and happiness.
