Dale Lee Woodruff, 73, of Millstadt, IL, born June 11, 1949, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at his residence.

Dale honorably served his country in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Division. Dale later started his own business and was the owner/operator for A-1 tree service. Dale was a Sportsmen Club member for 40 years, he enjoyed tinkering with his tools, fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Dale was a dog lover and enjoyed Christmas lights.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirleen Mae, nee Driver, Crowl; his grandparents; his cousin Robert Shields, and three uncles, Clarence Driver, Robert Driver, and Harold, Driver.

Surviving are his wife Sharon, nee Kessler Woodruff;
a daughter, Angie (Scott) Spencer;
two grandchildren, Katelyn and Dylan Spencer.
his father, Art Crowl;
three siblings, David L. Woodruff, Melissa (Jim) Zitta, and Dean (Karen) Crowl;
a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jan and Jeff Jones;
and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Burial with full military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dale. I wasn’t sure if you still lived I. The same place, but drove by today and saw your remembrance sign. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

Sharon and Angie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I just heard that Dale had passed away. Dale was a good guy, always good to me. I know I hadn't seen you guys in a long time , but I always thought about you. Sorry I didn't make the funeral.

I did not know Dale for very long , But he was a very kind hearted good guy to talk to while working fish fry’s with at Millstadt Sportsmans club. You will be missed!
