Daniel Curran

Print Obituary
Daniel J. “Danny” Curran, 28, of O’Fallon, IL, born January 15, 1990, in Waukegan, IL, died, Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in O’Fallon, IL.

When you look at Danny’s picture, I’m sure you see a handsome young man, full of youthful innocence with a bright future – the typical “boy next door”.  He was all that, plus an incredibly smart, caring, witty individual with an amazing sense of humor. To know him was to love him, and he had an extremely unique outlook on life.

What you don’t see is the pain and struggle he lived with for years, and the demons he battled every day.  He loved life, was looking forward to many tomorrows, and was making plans for the future. But in the end, the demons won, and a beautiful life was cut short…just like so many others we all hear about in today’s news.

So, please – love fully, smile, and be kind to others. Don’t judge too harshly or too quickly, as you never know what issues people are facing or what struggles they may be dealing with…a kind word or gesture and a smile can go a very long way.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Curran; his paternal grandmother, Joann Donohue; and an aunt, Ellen Nebgen.

Surviving are his father, James Curran of O’Fallon, IL;
his mother, Mary Jo, nee Nebgen, (Dale) Seabolt of O’Fallon, IL;
one brother, Sean Curran of O’Fallon, IL;
two step-brothers, Justin Seabolt of O’Fallon, IL, and Daniel Seabolt of Ft. Myers, FL;
his maternal grandparents, Joe and Virginia Nebgen of Swansea, IL;
his godmother and very special aunt, Michele Curran of Schaumburg, IL;
an aunt, Jane (Scott) Hawthorne of Belleville, IL;
two uncles, Brian Curran of Palatine, IL, and David (Karen) Nebgen of New Athens, IL;
and numerous cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to the Damascus Road Fellowship, 1485 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, IL, 62223. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Danny was so quick with that sense of humor - I remember taking Danny & Daniel to Camp O one year - and oh how he made me laugh! Treasure his memory and hold it close - and know he will always be in your heart. You are am amazing mom and we are so sorry you are going through this.

Mary Jo and Dale, Daniel and your Family are in my prayers! Turn towards your Faith....sometimes there are not explanations for the suffering we go through. Even though I didn't know Daniel personally....I am sure he embodied the goodness of you two! Heaven received a special Angel....just way sooner than you two wanted! God Bless, Matt
