
Dan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, restoring old cars, hunting, fishing, vacationing at the beach, and cutting firewood. He worked for the New Athens School District for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene J. and Gladys E., nee Schaeffer, Reppell; a sister, Cheryl Brueggemann; a brother, Thomas P. Reppell; a niece, Kerri Brueggemann; and his father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Mary, nee Helfrich, Stehl;
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Susie (Stehl) Reppell;
two daughters, Nicki (Mike) Schilling, and Alyssa (Andy) Mueller;
six grandchildren, Brayden, Bryce, Noah, and Maclane Schilling, and Saylor and Cecelia Mueller;
a brother, Jim Reppell;
and many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other family.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL, with Deacon Corby Valentine officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.
