David was known for his Tin Man and his love for pizza, picnics, gardening, cooking, and crafting.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Becherer.
Surviving are his mother, Carol Ann, nee Gross, Becherer; two brothers, James “Butch” (Lori) Becherer and Mike Becherer; six sisters, Lynn (Ron) Rensing, Jane (Rick) Leigh, Sharon (Bruce) Wicklein, Rosie (Joe) Middendorf, Lisa (Mike) Otten, and Lori (Jeff) Kollmann; four nieces, Courtney Wilson, April Hobbs, Nicole Callison, and Emma Otten; six nephews, Christopher and Dustin Arends, Brendan and Jared Wicklein, Tyler Middendorf, and Dylan Otten; three great-nieces, Madellein Arends, Annabelle Arends, and Aubrey Arends; two great-nephews, Crew Wilson and Graham Callison; and his furry friends, Moe and Kudos.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2023, at Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Stan Konieczny officiating.
Private burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL, at a later date.
