David L. Enderle, 69, of Freeburg, IL, born February 14, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, MO, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Enderle retired from the Department of Defense at Scott Air Force Base, where he had worked as a network administrator.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. David was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Nora Jean, nee Smith, Enderle; and a half-sister, Mayme Jean Fetsch.

David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen A., nee Drury, Enderle, whom he married on April 29, 1978, in Bloomsdale, MO;
two sons, James (Kristen) Enderle of Champaign, IL, and Charles (Megan) Enderle of the U. S. Armed Services;
a daughter, Nikki Enderle (Tim Hougland) of Columbia, MO;
a granddaughter, Charlotte Enderle;
and a brother, Jay Allen Enderle (Sammie Coy) of Miami, FL.

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Building Fund or to the Siteman Cancer Center. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Burial with military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, at a later date.

My condolences for your loss. Dave was the best of us, and I have been away too long. He taught me so much of what it means to be a man, a husband, and a father that I could never repay the debt. May he rest in peace and be an example in our hearts forever.

Karen, I was sad to read that you lost Dave in Tom's KC letter. I realize how this loss will affect you and your family. Dave was a wonderful, faithful person and this will be a loss for the Council also. Just realize that there are countless friends who can help. I'm thinking and praying for you.
