David graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1957. He joined IBEW Local #309 in 1962 and served as a business manager. David was the executive secretary of the Building and Construction Trades Department AFL-CIO, and a member of the Shiloh Eagles, and the Moose Lodge 1221. David was a United States Army veteran and was stationed in Korea.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyliss J., nee Simpkins, Foree; his parents, Fred and Ottillia, nee Sauer, Foree; a step-son, Dana Allen Bonebrake; three brothers, Robert F., Charles F. and William G. Foree; a brother-in-law, David Klingel; and a sister-in-law, Pansy Foree.
Surviving are two sons, Robert J. (Cindy) Foree of Nashville, TN, and David E. Foree, Belleville, IL; two daughters, Katheryn M. (Lovelace), and Charleen M. Foree; a step-daughter, Cherrie (Larry) Coppedge of Collinsville, IL; eight grandchildren, Sean Michael Foree, Lauren Nicole Foree, Taylor Rose Foree, Joshua David Foree, Patrick Foree, Gwyn Winstead, Brandy Kelley Coppedge, and Danny Guffey Coppedge; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank W. Foree of Cadiz, KY; a sister, Ruth A. Klingel of Belleville, IL; a sister-in-law, Marlene Foree of Belleville, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Michelle Torigian officiating.
Burial with military honors will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
