Dave married his best friend and love of his life, Lyn Mudd, nee Gerfen, on October 25th, 1975. One of his greatest joys in life was vacationing at the log cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with his wife and finding rocks in Lake Superior with his grandkids. Some of his best days were sitting on his deck with his wife and children watching his grandkids play. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Millstadt, Machinist Union #353, and Swansea Improvement Association. From spring to fall, you could always find him on the field, playing cork ball and drinking beers with his good buddies. He was also an avid golfer, bowler, card, pool, and softball player.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Wilmetta Mudd, brother, Dennis Mudd, father-in-law, Neal Gerfen, and brother-in-law, Ray Gerfen.
