David was a 1973 graduate of Freeburg Community High School and held an associate degree in Law Enforcement from Belleville Area College. He was retired from a career as a salesman for Towers Fire Apparatus, Crescent Electric Supply Company and Graybar. He also worked at Curt Smith Sporting Goods and E.M. Wiegmann.
David was proficient at competitive shooting having achieved the High-Master classification and earned the Distinguished Rifleman Badge through the civilian marksmanship program. This program traces its lineage to 1903 and President Theodore Roosevelt under the management of the Department of War and then the Department of the Army. David was a member of the 4-man team which holds the National Record for the Mid-Range (600 yard) Team Course Competition with an Open High Master Record Score of 800 – 49X at Bucksnort Shooting Club.
David was a member of Grace Doctrine Church in St. Charles, Missouri.
Most importantly, David placed his faith in the work of Our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross and His substitutionary spiritual death for our sins, providing salvation for all mankind. Having accepted this gracious gift by faith alone in Christ alone, David is the possessor of eternal life and is now in heaven and face-to-face with the Lord.
“For God loved the world so much that He gave His uniquely born Son, that whosever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
