Deanna Hilpert

Print Obituary
Deanna L. Hilpert, nee Webster, 78, of Swansea, IL, born August 12, 1945, in Carbondale, IL, died Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL, surrounded by her family.

Dee, as she was known to most, lived her life with kindness and generosity, which was fully evident by always putting others before herself. She worked for many years as the office manager at Wolf Branch School, Swansea, IL, where she wore many different hats. She retired in 2006, allowing her to spend time with her children and growing number of grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was supporting them while participating in athletics. Despite having eleven grandchildren, she always made each one feel special and greatly loved. Dee exemplified a positive attitude in life even when she encountered many obstacles. Her legacy of selflessness and her unwavering support for her family will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Webster; her mother, Olive, nee Brown, DeRousse; her stepfather, Arthur DeRousse; and her brother, Craig Webster.

Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, Bob Hilpert; four children, Rob Hilpert, Tammy (Todd) Cygan, Scott (Elizabeth) Hilpert, and Chris (James) Rader; 11 grandchildren, Kohl Hilpert, Taylor Cygan, Jordyn Cygan, Colin Cygan, Peyton Hilpert, John Hilpert, Kamryn Rader, Ava Hilpert, Jay Rader, Abby Hilpert, and Kendyl Rader; two great-grandchildren, Michael Hilpert and Braxton Lundry; two sisters, Sandra Wold and Lana Kempf; a brother, Gerard Webster; and many other loved ones.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of Robert Hilpert. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
