Deborah L. “Debbie” Hildebrandt, nee Pfeiffer, 66, of Granite City, IL, born June 10, 1955, in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, at her residence.

Debbie loved to ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles with her dear husband, John.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Cleon, nee Spinnenweber, Pfeiffer; a brother, Dennis Pfeiffer; a sister in infancy, Linda Jean Pfeiffer; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Pfeiffer.

Surviving are her husband of 17 years, John Hildebrandt, whom she married July 6, 2004;
a step-son, Michael Krause;
a step-granddaughter, Alexandria Krause;
a brother, David Pfeiffer;
a nephew, Brad (Pam) Pfeiffer;
a niece, Amy (Steve) Gomric;
two sisters-in-law, Mary (Gary) Allison and their family, and Helen (Richard) Carter and their family;
great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorials may be made to any no kill animal shelter of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at

Funeral:  Private services will be held.

Burial of cremated remains will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, IL, at a later date.

Dear John, It doesn’t seem possible that Debbie is gone. She was larger than life and knew how to make every situation joyful. I pray for your strength as you adjust to this huge loss.

I have so many fond memories of my cousin Debbie at family gatherings through our childhood years. Regret we didn’t keep in touch as we got older. So sorry for your loss. Will keep your family in my prayers.

We are both so sorry to hear about the loss of Debbie. She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone. Her laugh was infectious and she will be truly missed by those that loved her.
