
Mrs. Berkebile was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville and Harrisburg, IL. She was a volunteer at the Nice Twice Resale Shop in Belleville. She enjoyed her card clubs, sewing and crocheting, and especially enjoyed traveling.
Dee was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Lloyd Piche; her second husband, Ralph L. Berkebile; her parents, Spencer John and Bernice, nee Perras, Bichel; and a brother, Spencer Bichel.
Surviving are three sons, Larry (Julie) Piche of Harrisburg, IL, David (Robyn) Piche of Marion, IL, and Chris (Kelly) Piche of Edwardsville, IL; a daughter, Michele (Ken Leiser) Puntriano of St James, MO; six grandchildren, Garrick (Abby) Piche, Kelsey (Dallas Robinson) Piche, Whitney (Matthew) Onysio, Aaron Puntriano, Kara Puntriano, and Kate Piche; two great-grandchildren, Indigo Piche and Rush Robinson; a brother, Jerome Bichel; a sister, Evelyn (Bill) Morton; a sister-in-law, Marty Bichel; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. Standard CDC guidelines, including masks and social distancing will be observed.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon Wednesday, November 3, 20201, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Michael Arockiam and Fr. Christopher Anyanwu concelebrating. Masks will be required.
Burial will be Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
