Denise Mauldin

Print Obituary
Denise Marie Mauldin, nee Erlinger, 61, of Belleville, IL, born August 2, 1960, in East St. Louis, IL, died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her residence.

Denise was the sweetest most genuine person. Outside of her day job as an operator you could find her spending time with her family. There wasn’t a sporting event she wasn’t at for her children and, more recently, for her grandchildren. Outside of family she loved her Cardinals baseball and an ice-cold Pepsi! Her favorite past time was BINGO! She loved bingo in every form: Bingo nights at the hall, scratch offs and even taking bingo trips several times a year with friends. Many will miss this amazing lady, amazing mom, and most admired Granny.

Mrs. Mauldin was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Marlene, nee Schlatweiler, Erlinger; and a sister-in-law, Linda Mauldin.

Denise is survived by her husband, Stephen B. Mauldin;
four children, Evan (Ginny) Mauldin, Kristine Mauldin, Cara (Kari) Mauldin, and Ashley (Brittin) Mauldin;
four grandchildren, Brendon, Colin, Kai, and Kade;
two brothers, Nick (Brenda) Erlinger and Kevin Erlinger;
a sister, Lisa (Jim) Snodgrass;
her mother-in-law, Delores Mauldin;
nieces, Dawn, Nicole, Dana, Teresa, and Kerri;
nephews, Cortney, Noel, and Sean;
great-nieces, Teri, Amelia, and Alex;
sisters-in-law, Brenda and Julie;
and many more beloved extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.  Masks are required.

Condolences:

To the family of Denise Erlinger-Mauldin, you have my deepest sympathies on her passing. I worked with her at the phone. company for a long time, and briefly at Memorial. She was a very nice person to know. I know she was crazy about her girls and grandkids. It will hurt for a while but it will get easier but never go away. God loves her more than we ever could. Take care.

I was shocked to receive the call that our cousin, DeeDee, had passed. I enjoyed talking to her when we saw each other at my sister's funeral in March. She was telling me all about her new grand babies that were born & still in the hospital. We even prayed together for them right then! DeeDee you will be missed so much and you were Loved very much. We will be praying for the entire family. 💔

Family, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Denise would not want you to grieve for her, because now she is free. She is following the path God had laid. She took His hand when she heard His call. She turned her back and left it all. She could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, she found the peace at the close of Her day. If her parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes… these things she too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. She wishes you the sunshine of tomorrow. Her life has been full, she savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. lift up your hearts, and peace to you all. God wanted her to be FREE! If you need anything, just call.
