Diane worked for her brother’s bakery for over 20 years. She took care of other children babysitting for many years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan, she loved tending to her flowers, and going to church. Her grandchildren were her life and meant the world to her. She was well known for her sweet tea, grilled cheese sandwiches, and her endless supply of candy and popsicles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlando and Laurena, nee Mehrmann, Skaer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Howard Beggs;
a daughter, Dawn (Charlie) Parke;
two sons, Scott (Kelly) Beggs and Craig (Cheryl) Beggs;
11 grandchildren, Rusty Parke, Holly (Jon) Mueth, Stephanie (Rob) Gill, Hannah (Jake) Zink,
Savannah Parke, Gabby Parke, Heidi Parke, Miley Parke, Clayton (Savaunna)Williams, Amanda (Nathan) Kehoe, and Nathaniel Beggs;
nine great-grandchildren, Lainey, Hailey, Isaiah, Sadie, Jeremiah, Trysten, Kaylee, Evelyn, and Ara;
four brothers, Willard (Jeanette) Skaer, Herbie (Maxine) Skaer, Marvin (Irene) Skaer and Roger Skaer;
three sisters, Rosie (Al) Helfrich, Dottie Rickard, and Shirley Schmidt (Gene);
and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral: Funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Smithton, Smithton, IL, with Rev. Robert Endsley officiating.
Burial will be at Smithton City Cemetery, Smithton IL.
