Donald William Vosse, 79, of Belleville, IL, born November 30, 1942, in St. Louis, MO, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Evelyn’s House, Creve Coeur, MO.

Mr. Vosse had worked as a coal miner at Peabody for 26 years and as an electrician at Chrysler for 10 years. He loved driving and working on cars and built a 1955 Chevy. Don was the family handyman and loved taking care of his family. He was a United States Army veteran.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Louis W. and Dolores, nee Schmidt, Vosse; two brothers, Louis R. Vosse and Edward Vosse; a sister, Annette Vosse; and a granddaughter, Dakota Mae Vosse.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane, nee Hopp, Vosse; two sons, Shane (Sara) Vosse and Thomas (Diane) Vosse; four grandchildren, Amanda, Savanna, Ryan and Evan; seven siblings, David (Barb) Vosse,Shirley (Stanley) Behrman, Carol Vosse, Milton (JoAnn) Vosse, Debbie (Steven) Frasca, John Vosse, and Brian (Jesse) Vosse; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins, as well as many special friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Siteman Cancer Center. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. John Myler officiating.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Vosse's passing. I work at Siteman in the registration for lab and he always was a kind wonderful man. I sure will miss his smile.

Many years since I last saw Don, However, I remember him well as a Cathedral HS class mate.. Vividly remember him on the football team and always with a warm smile om his face with a frequent chuckle. Rest in peace Don and much sympathy to your family.
