Mr. Wild was a forklift operator at the Golden Dipt Company in Millstadt for 27 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Grain Millers Union. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and playing cards, but especially enjoyed time spent with his family.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret, nee Egger, Wild; a grandson, Jimmy Bready; two sisters, Florence (Harold) Miller and Katherine (Hubert) Koerber; a brother-in-law, Sylvester Dickneite; and a step-brother, George Wild.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Dolores, nee Leingang, Wild, whom he married on July 27, 1957;
six children, Jim (Vickie) Miller of Mascoutah, IL, Monica (Curt) Bochantin of Tamaroa, IL, Vickie (Walter) Ford of Belleville, IL, Peggy Sue (Bud) Villiger of Millstadt, IL;
Donald H. Wild Jr. (Sue Baum) of Okawville, IL, and Eric C. Wild (Tammy Wagner) of Mesa, AZ;
numerous grandchildren;
great-grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild;
a sister, Frances Dickneite of Millstadt, IL;
and a brother, Charles Wild of Belleville, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the Millstadt Sportsmen Club, 4915 Schmidt Lane, Millstadt, IL.
