Mrs. Oesterle retired from Pepperidge Farm as a manager. She had also been a beautician for 20 years. Doris was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary, a member of the Moose Lodge of Swansea, the Lady Sodality of St. Mary’s, and a Red Hat Lady. Doris loved being with her family very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jack W. Oesterle, whom she married on November 29, 1947, and who died on February 20, 2003; her parents, James and Julia, nee Sloger, Bedwell; her brother, James Bedwell Jr.; her brother-in-law, Lee Agne, Sr.; her sister-in-law, Doris (Dorie) Weber; and her nephew, Lee Agne, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Richard) Holtman of Belleville, IL, Jack W. Jr., (Mary) Oesterle of Kirkwood, MO, and William (Marian) Oesterle of Ballwin, MO; six grandchildren, Marci (Curt Springer) Mueller, Kyle (Meagen) Holtman, Joel (Shawna) Holtman, Brent Oesterle, Zachary (Bethany) Oesterle, and Amie Favignano; 11 great-grandchildren, Maximilian Mueller, Mason Mueller, Makhi Holtman, Miles Mueller, Kinley Holtman, Reese Holtman, Brynn Holtman, Tessa Holtman, Michael Springer, Giovanni Favignano, Jr., and Vincenzo Favignano; a sister, Arlene Agne; a sister-in-law, Gloria Bedwell; and nieces and nephews.
