Dorothy R. Vogler, nee Vollmer, 89, of Belleville, IL, born July 17, 1931, in Freeburg, IL, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL.

Mrs. Vogler was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, and belonged to the Ladies Sodality at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Aaron E. Vogler, whom she married on August 25, 1953, and who died on October 10, 2019; a son, Richard Vogler; her parents, Conrad A. and Elizabeth M., nee Rueter, Vollmer; and two brothers, Stanley Vollmer and Harold G. Vollmer.

Surviving are her children, Robert J. (Karen) Vogler, Sheila M. (David) Zubrzycki, Donna A. (David) Krupp, Janice L. (Ronald) Smith, David G. (Diane) Vogler, and John G. (Paula) Vogler;
13 grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren;
and a brother, Herbert J. Vollmer.

Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society, or to the Freeburg Care Center. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: A private family visitation will be held.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL.  Standard CDC guidelines, including masks and social distancing and a limited number of visitors at any one time, will be observed.

Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.

I was so sad when I heard the news about your mom. I knew her since I was a little girl, and she was always such a sweet person! I remember how much she loved animals especially her dogs snoopy, cocoa and her Robin peep peep. She was a dear lady, heaven certainly gained a beautiful angel.

To the Vogler Kids... Your mom was a sweetheart! Growing up, she was such enjoyable parent to chat with!! She was part of my neighborhood and St Luke Foundation. You don’t forget those kind of moms!! God bless you all and sending Hugs?
