Douglas Kinnard, 74, of Belleville, IL, born October 18, 1947, in East St. Louis, IL, died Monday, April 4, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Kinnard worked as a manager at Reynolds Aluminum Recycling for 21 years. He enjoyed working out in his yard and cutting grass. Doug also enjoyed helping others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo and Geneva, nee Thompson, Kinnard; and two sisters, Kathleen and Barbara.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol, nee Rujawitz, Kinnard whom he married on March 18, 1967; three children, Raymond (Crissy) Kinnard of Kansas, Shelly Giovando of Belleville, IL, and Michael Kinnard of Kansas; six grandchildren, Krystal (Rahman), Kayla (Nic), Justin,          Christian, Charli, and Colton; four great-grandchildren, Mohammed, Nazik, Landen, and Jeremiah; his siblings, Mildred, Stanley, and Ellen; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

Carol, Was so saddened to hear about Doug.. You and Doug were the Elligence of Windham Place..I will always be so greatful for all the things he has done for especially for moving me from the 3rd floor to the first floor out of the goodness of his heart. He will always have a special place in my heart because of the wonderful man the he was. I missed you guys from the day you moved.. Never be the same

Sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. He was one of my students at Grant School in my first year of teaching, and a he k of a basketball player for coach Benson. My condolences to his family.

Carol, I was so sorry to read of Doug's passing. I consider both of you very good friends. Doug was always considerate and kind to everyone always offering a helping hand. I know he will be missed by his family and especially by you Carol. You were the best neighbors ever. God Bless You.

To carol and family, we are so sorry for you loss Doug will be missed he always had a smile on his face and liked to joke just like his father, Doug was a great uncle and thanks for his great service in Military, are prayers are with you and your family.

Carol and family, I am deeply sorry to hear about Doug's passing. It's been so long since I have seen any of you. Doug was a great man, knew how to make people laugh, always had a smill on his face and you could tell he loved life, his family and you Carol! My heart goes out to you all. Love and hugs
