Drew was a 2006 graduate of Belleville Township High School East. He was a member of the Junior Varsity and Varsity soccer teams. He was employed as an appliance technician after attending Ranken Technical School in St. Louis, MO. He enjoyed watching and playing sports, listening to music, playing video games, but most of all he loved being called “daddy” and spending time with his children and family. Drew had a heart of gold and would help anyone.
He was preceded in death by his father, Craig Gronemeyer; his maternal grandparents, Eugene and June, nee, Stoeber, Mueller; his paternal grandfather, David Gronemeyer; and an aunt, Sandra Murphy.
Surviving are his children, Xander and Aleyah;
his devoted mother, Peggy, nee Mueller, Gronemeyer;
his loving sister, Devon (Joe) Piantanida;
three half-brothers, Cory, Cameron, and Caden Gronemeyer (Michelle);
his dear grandmother, Elaine Gronemeyer;
two nieces, Gemma and Grace Piantanida;
loving aunts, uncles, cousins, many dear friends;
and his best friend, “King.”
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Drew’s AA/NA community, Gateway Foundation, TASC and MONet. Thank you also to Drew’s boss and co-workers for always believing in him.
