Mrs. Becker was a retired secretary for Freeburg Community High School District 77. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL, the former Boots and Slippers Square Dance Club, and the Belleville Senior Citizens Club.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Amelia, nee Bergman, Walker, and three sisters, Evelyn Gale, Catherine Schlueter, and Vera Mueller.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Walter Becker, whom she married October 7, 1950,
two sons, Jay (Genevieve) Becker of Oviedo, FL, and Gary (Teresa) Becker of Smithton, IL; one daughter, Bonnie (Richard) Russavage, of St. Clair, MO;
seven grandchildren, Lesia Becker,
Andrew (Jennifer) Becker,
Joseph Becker, Lindsey Smith,
Patrick (Anais) Becker,
Jill (Terry) Graves,
and Julie (Braden) Roth;
ten great-grandchildren;
a cousin, Jean Schmidt;
a good friend, Doris Lemkemeier;
and Edna’s feline companion, Gwendolyn.
The family extends a special thank you to Jill, and Rachel, of Hospice of Southern Illinois, and Rosita, Irma, Sherry, Christy, and all the staff at Rosewood Care Center for their loving care and support.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until 12 noon Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Herb Schafale officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
