Edward Meister, 70, of St. Louis, MO, born February 27, 1952, in Spring Valley, IL, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Christian Hospital Northeast, St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Meister was a tool maker and inspector and retired from Boeing after more than 35 years of service. He was a super husband and a backyard farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Betty, nee Nuske, Meister.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Amy, nee Gore, Meister; two sisters, Jayne (Russ) Yount and Jeanne (Jim Logajan) Meister; a niece, Melissa Yount; a nephew, Andy Yount; an aunt, Jeanette Nuske; and many cousins.

Flowers welcome or memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022, or from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

 

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

Very sorry to learn of Ed’s passing. He generously helped me with difficult math and chemistry problems when we were in high school and I shall be forever grateful. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in this difficult time.

Amy, My sincere condolences on your loss of Ed. He was a very good friend for the last thirty-plus years. He was one of the best in his toolmaking trade as well as in all the hobbies he pursued.
