Edward F. Miller, 94, of Belleville, IL, born July 18, 1926, in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL.

Mr. Miller worked as a maintenance supervisor for Union Electric, St. Louis, MO, for 36 years before his retirement. He was a World War II U. S. Air Force veteran.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Maryann B. Miller, nee Backs, whom he married on June 28, 1952, and who died on April 3, 2010; his parents, Fred G. and Alma, nee Peter, Miller; two brothers, Wayne Miller and Fred Miller; a sister, Louise Voegtle; and a sister-in-law, Janet Miller.

Surviving are a son, Craig E. Miller of Belleville, IL;
a sister-in-law, Marilyn Miller of Columbia, IL;
numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins;
and many friends.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Pastor Patrick Wheeler officiating. Military honors will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the funeral home.

Burial of cremains will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL, at a later date.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your Dad. We were classmates at BTHS, Class of 1944. And we shared frequent visits at The Round Table Restaurant on Sunday mornings.
