Mrs. Pappe had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, and she belonged to the Bishop’s Circle in the Diocese of Belleville.
Eileen was an excellent cook, who enjoyed the art of preparing many different types of cuisine. She also loved to crochet and needlepoint, making hundreds of items over the years. She loved the variety of patterns that she had collected, many of them from around the world while traveling, especially those patterns that required special attention to detail.
She also loved to watch television shows on the British channel, as well as science fiction and mystery channels.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Agnes, nee Sweeny, Gibbs.
Surviving are her loving husband of 36 years, Keith Pappe, whom she married on May 5, 1979;
her son, Christopher W. (Mary) Pappe;
her daughter, Lorraine B. (Grahman) Brickette;
three stepsons, Robert K. Pappe, Charles K. Pappe, and Jason K. Pappe, and their spouses;
and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral: A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2015, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
