Mrs. Haake was a devoted mother to her loving family. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Perpetual Help Sodality, Young at Heart Club; and ladies quilting group. Elizabeth was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Women of the Belleville-Swansea Moose Lodge 1221, and the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Clarence T. Haake, whom she married on May 12, 1948, and who died on January 7, 2012; her parents, Vincent W. and Catherine, nee Winters, Albers; two grandchildren; a son-in-law, Brian Kalmer; brothers, Harold Albers and Vincent (Ethel) Albers; sisters, Adele Albers, Gertrude (Lawrence) Becker, and Dolores (August) Lampe; brothers-in-law, Arnold Haake and Tom Haake; and sisters-in-law, Lucille (Edward) Gramann, Dolores (John) Johnson, and Mary (Joseph) Winter.
Surviving are her seven children, Sharon K. (Art) Fahrner of Swansea, IL, Philip V. (Reatha) Haake of Germantown, IL, Stanley A. (Bonnie) Haake of Anna, IL, Mark T. (Deby) Haake of Bridgeton, MO, Dennis R. (Jane) Haake of Belleville, IL, Mary Beth Kalmer of Belleville, IL, and Ginny E. (Kevin) Bouse of Shiloh, IL; 17 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Maurice (Rita) Albers; a sister, Marie (Virgil) Gebke; a brother-in-law, Richard (Kathy) Haake; three sisters-in-law, Pauline (Norman) Dierkes, Ethel Haake, and Marilyn Haake; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. James Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
