Mrs. Heidenreich had retired from the St. Clair County Farm Bureau. She was a past member of Union United Methodist Church, Belleville, IL. Elsie had also been a past member of the Freeburg Chapter of the Eastern Star, the Al Sihah Daughters of the Nile, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Freeburg HCE, and the Broad Hollow Grange.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Roland E. Heidenreich, whom she married on June 5, 1949, and who died on January 6, 2021; two sons, Gary Heidenreich and Kent Heidenreich; her parents, Frank and Elsie, nee Lortz, Hesse; four brothers, Siegel (Vera), Ralph (Marilyn), Harvey, and Edgar (Edith) Hesse; a sister, Anita (Bill) Reiss; a son-in-law, Robert Parker.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemarie Heidenreich Parker and Kay (Greg) Zimmerman;
a son, Michael (Cathy) Heidenreich;
eight grandchildren, Erik (Maggie) Heidenreich, Andrew (Elly) Heidenreich, Katrina (Dan) Brooks, Lindsey (Landon) Dinnin, Shelby Zimmerman, Nikki Zimmerman, Lucas (Katelyn) Heidenreich, and Madelaine (David) Robbins;
four great-grandchildren, George and Maisie Heidenreich, and Max and Millie Dinnin;
a daughter-in-law, Elaine Heidenreich;
and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Bethel Reformed Presbyterian Church, Sparta, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Bethel Reformed Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Alex Eppstein officiating.
Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
