Mrs. Brown was a past member of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL, the Cathedral Perpetual Help Society, and St. Clair County Anglers Association. Elvira was also an avid bingo player for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Woodrow Brown; her parents, John and Adele, nee Schoenstein, Schoen; a daughter, Charlotte Racine; two grandsons, Kenneth Racine and Richard Racine; a granddaughter, Ann Rexroth; two brothers, John Schoen and Melvin Schoen; and a sister, Florence Owens.
Surviving are her son, Roy (Elizabeth) Brown;
a grandson, Gary Racine;
two great-granddaughters, Susan Racine
and Winter Racine;
a granddaughter-in-law, Shirley, nee Eftink, Racine;
a sister-in-law, Estelle, nee Reeb, Brown;
a brother-in-law, Lawrence Ridenour;
numerous nieces and nephews;
and a very dear friend, Mary Chambers and family.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m Monday, May 15, 2017, at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville IL, with Father Von Deeke officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
