As a lifelong resident of Belleville, IL, Emily attended Blessed Sacrament and Notre Dame Schools and became a professional beautician. She retired from the main business office of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows after 33 years of service. She was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, for more than 60 years and, more recently, a member of St. Luke Catholic Church of Belleville. Emily served tirelessly as a volunteer with the Pregnancy Care Center, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc. She was known for her ever-present smile, easy laugh, and eagerness to volunteer. Emily was an avid reader and enjoyed walking with her devoted husband.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel F. and Catherine M., nee Haas, Glauber; three brothers, Nicholas, Melvin, and Charles Glauber; and a sister, Elizabeth Stock.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Richard P. Voss, whom she married on July 16, 1949;
her son and daughter-in-law, Mark G. and Carol A. Voss of Grand Bay, AL;
a grandson, Bryan R. Voss of Milwaukee, WI;
a sister, Dolores Langan of Lebanon, IL;
and nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Paul’s Home and Heartland Hospice Care for their unending care and kindness.

Funeral: In her continued spirit of giving, Emily chose to donate her body to Saint Louis University School of Medicine. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.
