Mr. Juenge was a World War II United States Army veteran. He graduated from New York University. After graduation he became a professor at Pittsburg State University. In later years, he worked as a chemical research supervisor for the FDA and USDA, retiring in 1980. Eric was a former member of the Moose Club and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1739, Belleville, IL. He was an avid musician and loved to perform in venues around the Belleville area.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Juenge; his father, Eric Juenge; his mother, Elsie, nee Ostwald, Genser; and his half-sister, Bonnie Derr.
He is survived by his two daughters, Judy (John) Prince and Debbie (Ken) Garner; two grandchildren, Eric (Kim) Prince and Kendra (Ben) Clark; three great-grandchildren, Harper, Lillian, and Annabelle; and his dear companion, Roberta “Bobby” Rowden.
Eric loved life, learning, music, and people. He will be sorely missed.
