Eugene A. “Bud” Bringaze Jr., 81, of Belleville, IL, born June 5, 1933, in Springfield, IL, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Helia Southbelt Healthcare, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Bringaze was a retired salesman from Hunter Packing in East. St. Louis, IL.                     Bud served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Pope John Paul 1st 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus Council #4239 in O’Fallon, IL and also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lila, nee Lawless, Bringaze;
two sisters, Marian (Robert) Heid and Lila (George) Rabbitt; a brother-in-law, Walter Asbury; and his beloved cat, Sylvester.

Surviving are his wife, Velda “Lou” Bringaze, whom he married February 16, 1957;
three sons and a daughter, Patricia M. Bringaze, of O’Fallon, IL,
Eugene A. Bringaze III, of O’Fallon, IL,
Thomas J. Bringaze, of Barnhart, MO
and John D. Bringaze, of O’Fallon, IL;
three grandchildren, Anthony J. Bringaze,
Mallory M. Bringaze
and Carly J. Bringaze;
a sister, Barbara Asbury, of Belleville, IL
and a dear friend Andrew Walker, of Swansea, IL.

Visitation:  Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015, at St. Henry Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Henry Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Ken York officiating.  Burial will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
