Evelyn H. Lannert, nee Lischer, 87, of Freeburg, IL, born March 14, 1930, in New Athens, IL, died March 22, 2017, at the home of her daughter in Freeburg, IL.

Mrs. Lannert was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Freeburg, IL. She enjoyed reading, golfing, bowling and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Philip C. Lannert, whom she married on November 20, 1948, and who died on October 4, 2016; her parents, Albert and Martha, nee Mueller, Lischer; three brothers, Fred, Harold and Delmar Lischer; and three sisters, Rita Kugler, Louise Gabriel and June Lischer, who died in infancy.

She is survived by her son, Steven Lannert of New Athens, IL;
her daughter, Ann (Allen) Castens of Freeburg, IL;
three grandchildren, Angela (Chad) Sanders,
Adam (Jill) Lannert,
and Elaine (Chris) Koch;
four great-grandchildren, Brynne and Maya Sanders,
Olivia Koch,
and Gabriella Lannert;
one brother- in-law, Henry (Helen) Lannert of Fort Myers, FL;
nieces;
nephews;
and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, or to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL

Funeral:  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL with Rev. Earl Crecelius officiating.
