Mrs. Raab worked as a legal secretary before her career changed to homemaker extraordinaire. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL, served on the Mission Board, and belonged to the Women’s Day Fellowship at the church. She volunteered at the Women’s Crisis Center Shelter Shop. Evelyn was a former Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She was also a past honored queen of Job’s Daughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Norman L. Raab, whom she married on February 7, 1948, and who died on February 21, 2007; her parents John J. and Anna, nee Kraus, Koderhandt; and two sisters, Helen Koenig and Vilma Harhausen; and a great-nephew.
Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Kay Raab of Aurora, CO;
a sister, Shirley (Charles J.) Witcher of Kirkwood, MO;
a sister-in-law, Melva Jean (Eugene A.) Hohm of Ballwin, MO;
nine nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life: A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Robert Koepcke officiating.
Burial will be held at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
