I'm saddened to learn of Fr, Joe leaving us so soon. I was privileged to get to know him while he served at St. Casimir in Saint Paul, MN. A true Oblate, he had an air of "I'm trying to figure out how to follow Christ myself, just like the rest of you folks." May he rest in peace.

I have had the pleasure of being the Organist for the BLC @ the Shrine Chapel for almost 40 years. Working, collaborating with Fr. Joe for the past 10 years was a joy. A truly respectful and kind man. Pat and I express our sincere sympathy to his family. Our dear friend, Rest in Peace. We will miss you. I'm sure the music in heaven is superb!

Most sincere condolences to Joe’s siblings, and their spouses. Joe is one swell guy. I’ve known him since 1968 we kept in touch, not terribly often, but often enough. I trust that he has presented himself to our loving and merciful God who will bring Joe to perfection for all eternity. May Ruth and Arthur greet Joe with joy along w St Eugene and all OMI who have gone before him.

My deepest sympathy to Fr. Joe’s family. He always stopped by my aunt and uncle’s dinner table. I would join them once in a while and they loved his jokes and his personality! God bless you all at this difficult time. RIP FR. JOE!

My sincerest condolences on the loss of Fr. Joe. My jaw dropped when I saw that he had passed suddenly. I spoke with Father many times during my Mom's 5 year stay at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. My mother visited with Father regularly when she had questions and trusted Fr Joe to help her work through them; he always did. I am saddened by the loss of such a good man.
