Frances L. Connor, nee Jarosik, 94, of Belleville, IL, born August 23, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, MO, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Liberty Village, Maryville, IL.

Frances was a proud 1946 graduate of St. Teresa Academy in East St. Louis, IL. She was a Personnel Manager for W.T. Grant Co. for 10 years, spent several years as a full-time Homemaker, then returned to a retail career and worked 20 years for Walmart in H.R. and retired as District Secretary. She was a 50-year member of Women of the Moose Lodge 1221 in Belleville. After retirement she was active in the “Young at Heart” Senior group at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Belleville where she was a parishioner for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Edward W. Connor Jr., whom she married on January 1, 1948, and who died July 27, 1998; her parents, Vincent M. and Margaret, nee King, Jarosik; a brother, Vincent J. Jarosik; a sister, Barbara “Bobbie” (John) Belz; and a brother-in-law, John G. Adams.

She is survived by her five children, Kathleen “Kittie” Connor, Patty Connor, Peggy (David) Trenkner, Michael (Julie) Connor, and Christine (David) Brandt; six grandchildren, Ryan (Tori) Connor, Stephanie (James) McDonald, Jamie Trenkner, Kirsten (Steve) Perry, Kayla Mahoney (Kevin Tourville), and Abigail Mahoney (Dallas Roach); four great-grandchildren, Parker Connor, Eleanor Connor, Connor J. Perry, and James David McDonald; one sister, Mary Adams; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL., and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  A Mass Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Michael Arockiam officiating.

Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.

Spent lots of nights at the Connors. Mrs C gave me my first job at WT Grant’s and I think she taught me how to crochet. So many wonderful memories of an unforgettable lady and a wonderful family. Much love to you all❤️
