Franklin Dale Bollinger, 73, of Belleville, IL, born May 29, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, MO, died Monday, March 15, 2021, in Belleville, IL, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Bollinger was a lead business analyst who retired from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He was a volunteer for the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Frank greatly enjoyed riding his motorcycle and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora “Dale” and Colleen, nee Joyce, Bollinger; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Royce “Pete” and Dorothy, nee Boemer, Parker; and a brother-in-law, John Harper.

Surviving are his wife, Debra S., nee Parker, Bollinger; three daughters, Heather (Timothy) Pyatt, Tracy (Atul) Sapkal, and Jennifer Whitter; a son, Justin (Emily Barks) Bollinger; three grandchildren, Samantha Pyatt, and Dean and Dale Sapkal; three sisters, Linda Harper, Judy (Larry) Vaughn, and Debbie (John) Wiggins; a sister-in-law, Julie (Roch) Beine; his beloved nephews and nieces, along with many dear family and friends; and his beloved four-legged buddies, Kallee and Saddie.

The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at both St. Paul’s Senior Community and at Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. Standard CDC guidelines, including masks and social distancing, will be observed.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m Friday, March 19, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Linda Gastrich officiating. Standard CDC guidelines, including masks and social distancing, will be observed.

Burial with military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

So very sorry for your loss Debbie. I was lucky to share so many memorable miles/rides with Frank. Plus the fact I had relative down in SE MO where he was from. He will be missed by many. Prayers for you all.

Frank and my brother, David were good friends at Oran High School. Frank's dad, Dale and our dad worked together many years. So sad to hear of Frank's death. Praying God's peace upon your family.
