Mr. Heafner worked as an electrician and was a member of the Electrical Union Local for 57 years. After his retirement, Frank worked as a building inspector for St. Clair County for seven years. He enjoyed gardening, feeding his birds, and tending to his cats. He especially loved Christmas, and all things Santa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward L. and Helen, nee Jakes, Heafner; a sister, Mary Bien; a niece, Kris Bien; and nephews, Ed and Kyle Bien.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Donna J., nee Bendick, Heafner of Belleville, IL;
a niece, Amanda Bien;
a great-niece, Kaleigh Bien;
numerous cousins;
and other family members.

Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL, at a later date.
