My deepest sympathy, Betty and all of the family. So sorry I didn't make it to the funeral home. We're still enjoying our home on Stolberg's lake and always think of the Gantner family.

I have very fond memories of Freddy & Betty when I was a Busboy/Salad Boy at Gantner's in the 60's. Freddy (and Betty) treated all of us like family and I'll never forget some of the adventures we had with Freddy in the wee hours of the morning after the restaurant closed and clean-up completed. May Freddy rest in peace and my sincerest condolences to his family - especially Betty. And thanks for the best memories.

Betty, Ron and Sis, I'm most saddened to see Fred has left us. A kinder man would be hard to find. Fred was so marvelous at his job at Fischer's. Fred always had a smile on his face and never missed an opportunity to stop and chat no matter how busy he was. A great man and a wonderful friend to many who will be deeply missed.

Please accept my sincere condolences to all the family. Fred was the best!! I enjoyed much time with him behind the bar with my Father-in-law, Chuck Woodruff and the crew of bottle boys at Gantner’s Restaurant. Fred always had a special snack presentation when we rushed to the bar from 9 holes of Sunday golf at Westhaven Golf Course. RIP
