I was saddened to hear of the sudden loss of Gary–I started my first of 30 years in the Waterloo District at the Junior High and got to know him those first three years. He was kind and helpful. I was able to sit in on one of his classes and saw first-hand what a wonderful teacher he was. He also taught my son, Brad when he came through the Junior High and, again, we saw what a good teacher he was. He will be greatly missed.

I remember Mr. Stein very fondly. Though I got in trouble a couple of times in his 7th-grade math class, I know he was a great man with a large heart, and a passion to teach his students.

Mr. Stein was a great teacher, I didn’t like math but I liked Mr. Stein and that made the class and subject fun. A nice man. RIP.
