She was born March 22, 1931, in Belleville and graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1949, as a member of the National Honor Society.
Georgia was employed as a legal secretary in her early years before becoming a full-time homemaker. Georgia did not have children, but kept herself occupied with gardening, sewing, swimming, bike riding, and house and yard maintenance. She thoroughly enjoyed NASCAR racing and Cardinals baseball.
She was a member and office volunteer at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL. In her younger years, Georgia volunteered at the Belleville Area Humane Society in the puppy visitation program at various nursing homes.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Wright, who passed away in 1992; her parents, Walter F. and Elsie A., nee Herbert, Hueting; her dear friend, Michael P. Taggart; and special neighbor friend, Ed Lopinot.
She is survived by her dear friends, Fran Lopinot of Belleville, IL,
and Terry and Susan Taggart of O’Fallon, IL.

At her request, there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
