Throughout her life, Gerry was employed at Hoeffken Brothers and J.C. Penney, but her greatest love was being a homemaker, raising her four children, and spoiling her eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Gerry was very involved in her parishes of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Belleville, IL, and after moving to Smithton, IL, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a eucharistic minister, volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and Cosgrove’s Kitchen. Gerry was an amazing wife, mom, Gram, and Gigi. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Sophie, nee Skiera, Krystofolski; her son, Scott Miller, who died in April 2010; her sister, Mary Ann (Alvin) Richter; three brothers, Ronnie, Jim, and Dave Krystoff; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Ethel Miller; her sister-in-law, Jean Hilmes; and a brother-in-law, Arthur Miller.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of more than 69 years, Robert Miller, whom she married on May 3, 1952; three children, Debbie (Chuck, Jr.) Schumacher, Jeff (Pam) Miller, and Diane McCarkel; a daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Miller; her much loved grandchildren, Chuck III (Ali) Schumacher, Bob (Lindsey) Schumacher, Kate Schumacher Lange, Ryan Miller, Kyle (Jenny) Miller, Eric Miller (special friend, Kala), Allison (Steve) Singer, Meredith Miller (special friend, Matt), Shannon (Steve) Warchol, Chelsea (Mike) Falk, and Erin McCarkel (special friend, Ryan); Gigi to her precious great-grandchildren, Campbell Schumacher, Jay Lange, Sam Schumacher, Austin Lange, Grady Miller, Claire Singer, Edward Warchol, Natalie Singer, baby Warchol and baby Miller on the way; two dear foster great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Loretta Krystoff; a brother-in-law, Bob Hilmes; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
