Geraldine H. Munie, nee Henneberry, 86, of Belleville, IL, born July 15, 1928, in Chicago, IL, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at her residence at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Apartment Community, Belleville, IL.

A graduate of the University of Illinois with an accounting degree, Geraldine was both an accountant and a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish, Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Leland J. Munie, whom she married on June 28, 1952, and who died on September 3, 2009; a daughter, Lynn M. Henke; her parents, James L. and Anna, nee Ruddy, Henneberry; and two brothers, Mark Henneberry and Joseph Henneberry.

Surviving are four sons and a daughter, Charles J. (Maria) Munie of Tucson, AZ,
Lawrence A. (Shelley) Munie of Avon, IN,
Janet L. (Harold) Collins of Columbia, IL,
Paul J. Munie of Belleville, IL,
and Jerome J. Munie of Edwardsville, IL;
a son-in-law, Roger Henke of Belleville, IL;
eight grandchildren, Eric Munie, Erin (Casey) Gantt, and Andrew “AJ” Munie,
Matthew and Heather Collins,
and Ryan Henke, Kristen (Patrick) McEvilly, and Elizabeth Henke;
two great-grandchildren, Michael and Emily Gantt;
a brother, James Henneberry of Palm Desert, CA;
a sister, Marcella Fox of Madison, WI;
and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 4, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Thursday, June 4, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Father Christopher Anyanwu and Msgr. William McGhee concelebrating.

Cremation will follow the services.  Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, at a later date.
