So sorry to hear about Aunt Geri's passing. I have many memories about her and Uncle Elmer at different family gatherings, reunions and visits to their home in Smithton. As a child I was especially interested when the times dad and mom would go in with another family member and buy a butchered cow from Elmer and Geri. I would hang out in the barn and watch the whole procedure. Aunt Geri also helped out with my dad (Eugene) during his last days. She was always so helpful and nice. God bless you kids and grandkids.

Chester, Anna and Hunter, We are so sorry for the loss of your mother. Aunt Geri was always so wonderful to us as a family. My dad, Uncle Eugene always wanted to protect your mom because she was his youngest sister. And your Aunt Geri was so good about keeping up with daddy when our mother was sick. She would call dad and would stop by to make sure he was okay. Your mother was so good to me as I was growing up. Aunt Norma and I made most of my clothes and Aunt Geri would give me some of her older work clothes. Mom and I would alter them for me, but I felt so great in her beautiful 'store bought' clothes. I remember visiting your farm and your mom was always cooking or cleaning up from the last meal. I think that we never left your home feeling hungry. If she did not have anything on, she would throw something together. She was the most loving and family-oriented person I knew. My brothers and I always enjoyed visiting your home, so warm and welcoming. My daughter Sheri who is the oldest granddaughter for my mom and dad, remembered the farm and visiting. Chester, she remembered you and in the evening at your home, there were always thousands of fireflys! Your mother was a lovely person, very giving and self-sacrificing. We loved her so much and we are all so very sorry for your loss.

We will miss Aunt Geri terribly. She was so loving & caring. We spent many phone calls, in later yrs., catching up on each other's lives & discussing family memories. She was so kind during our visits - I'm so glad Larry got to know her too, while she was still living at her house. We see & use some china, that she had gifted us, every day & think of her fondly. I'm glad she was greeted in heaven by the family that passed before. Our prayers & sympathies are with all - may Angels surround you & lighten your grief. (I was her niece, Leo & Ethel Powers' Daughter)
