Gladys M. “Susie” Fournie, nee Muskopf, 93, of Belleville, IL, born February 23, 1923, in North Dupo, IL, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Belleville Healthcare and Rehab, Belleville, IL.

Susie was a supervisor for the St. Clair County Treasurer’s Office before her retirement.  She was involved with the Junior Bowlers, the Belleville Khoury League, and Boy Scouts of America, and was a member of the Zonta Club and the Professional Business Women’s Association.  Gladys was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.  She was a member of the World War II Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Raymond V. Fournie, whom she married February 18, 1950, and who died July 4, 1984; her parents, Richard and Gertrude, nee Arnold, Muskopf; and a brother, Richard Muskopf.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond R. (Mary) Fournie,
and Arnold A. Fournie;
four grandchildren, Sarah (Nicholas) Kheriaty,
John Fournie,
Anne (John) Sauer,
and David Fournie;
and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. David Darin and Fr. Allen Maes O.M.I.  concelebrating.

Burial will be Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
