Gloria graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1943. Upon graduation, she worked as a bank teller at the Belleville National Bank on The Square throughout the 1940’s and 1950’s.
Hosting a dinner party at home or attending a social event, Gloria thoroughly enjoyed delicious food and the company of great friends. She was an active member of Scott AFB’s Officer’s Wives Club, Trinity United Church of Christ’s Women’s Fellowship, Belleville Junior Women’s Club, Belleville Rose Club and her ‘girl-click’ affectionately named ‘The East End Kids’ Club.
Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved and devoted husband of 68 years, Edward Wolf; her parents, William and Florence, nee Krauss, Stammer; a brother, Larry Stammer; and a sister, Audrey Joffray.
Surviving is a daughter, Rebecca (Phillip) Davidson of Leawood, KS;
one grandchild, Andrew (Brittany) Davidson of Nashville, TN;
a brother, Terry (Loretta) Stammer of Belleville, IL;
and a sister-in-law, Mary Stammer.
Greatly appreciated were the outstanding care and compassion provided by Hospice of Southern Illinois and the management and staff of The Arbors Memory Care. A sincerest “Thank you” is extended to Pastor Cory Hartz and the fellowship of Trinity United Church of Christ who frequently visited Gloria over the past eight years. Thanks also to Gloria’s two truest girlfriends, JoAnn Fiore and Laverne Kloess, who always found time to visit with a card and some cookies. Charlie and Mabel Weik, your faithful telephone calls, cards and visits will forever be affectionately remembered.

Private burial will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
