Our prayers are with you and your family. Your mother and father worked for years with my husband and myself operating the bingo for the belleville/swansea moose lodge. We enjoyed them a lot and missed them when they retired. They truly earned their wings. I also know that your mother taught one of our grandsons at St. Augustines. God Bless!

She was an awesome person, teacher, mentor and friend. I did my observation and student teaching with her at Belle Valley in 4th grade. I am still at Belle Valley 34 years later! I was greatly blessed by having Helen Gass in my life. She made me smile and laugh every time I was with her. My first Friday student teaching at 3:30 she said it was time to go and I thought ok.....we went to have a beer!!! God placed me in the right place! We went to Ridels little bar every Friday night for a beer. I never did get a free beer when I shook the dice! I loved her. I am so sorry for your loss. I know she is in heaven having lots of laughs with Jim smiling down on us. Prayers for your family. Lana Kunz

Jim, my deepest condolences to you and your family. Your mom was the best! She was such a good friend to mom when she was sick. I remember when I took her with me to the nursing home to visit mom. Even with all the goings on around them there, your mom would talk to mine as if they were out having a cup of coffee. It was so kind and loving, and melted my heart. Your mom was special, as was your Dad. I’m so happy my parents had them as lifelong friends.

Words cannot express what Mrs. Gass meant to my parents, specifically, Mom. I have so many fond memories of them, Saturday morning phone calls, weekend trips together. I’ll forever be grateful for the week she spent with Mom at our house in FL. It was so much fun and without a friend with her I don’t think she’d have come. Both your Mom and Dad meant a lot to our parents and to us.
