Sonny was raised in Experiment, GA, but lived in Belleville for over 50 years. He will be missed by all who knew him through the years. To many, he was their private therapist and had the nickname “Big Daddy”. Many knew him through his antiques and for the many years he attended the Belleville Flea Market.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris, nee Kriegoskoette, Pitts, formerly of Freeburg, IL; and his father, Henry E. Pitts of Griffin, GA.
Surviving are his partner in life and love, Scott Kehrer, formerly of Freeburg, IL,
his beloved children, Tony (Patti) Pitts of Columbia, IL,
and Beth (Bob) Botkin of Belleville, IL;
his beloved sister, Deborah K. Watts of Georgia;
two nieces;
and a nephew.
