Hugh “Coach” Weisenstein, 83, of Belleville, IL, born October 5, 1939, in Belleville, IL, died April 3, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Hugh was a chemical engineer with Monsanto for 35 years. He was a graduate of Belleville Township High School and University of Illinois College.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman and Mildred, nee Feickert, Weisenstein; a son, Shawn Weisenstein; and two brothers, Curt Weisenstein and Don Weisenstein.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, nee Harnetiaux, Weisenstein;
two children, John (Lori) Weisenstein, and Kristina (Wadell) Stillman;
nine grandchildren, Michael and James Weisenstein, Katie and Alexander Stillman, Wendy (Sean) Powers, Taffy (Mark) Parker, Tiffany Inlow, Logan (Amy) Delarino, and Noah (Jacob) Maniates; numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kent (Joan) Weisenstein.
