Jack graduated from O’Fallon Township High School in 2022, spent his freshman year of college honing his writing skills at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater, then transferred to the University of Missouri to pursue his dream of becoming a journalist. Jack’s family and his many, many friends know how talented he was, and had he not been taken so tragically young the rest of the world would have soon known, as well. Jack’s sense of humor, his work ethic and his thirst for knowledge were unmatched. He loved books, music, and exotic foods. Born with a curious mind, he could chat for hours on a wide range of topics. He will be missed, and he will be mourned. Today the world is a poorer place without him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ryan Crader.
He is survived by his mother, Becky, nee Hoffmann, Crader; a sister, Lily Crader; his maternal grandfather, James Hoffmann; his maternal grandmother, Carol Hoffmann; his paternal grandparents, Sue and Richard Crader; four uncles, Jeff (Kelly) Hoffmann, Joe (Tricia) Hoffmann, Sean (Meredith) Crader, and Matt (Sarah) Crader; and four cousins, Ben, Emmett, Jocelyn Hoffmann, and Olivia Crader.
